The rectangle shaped slotted part of the catch is attached to the front flap of the handbag or clutch purse with 2 Phillips head screws (supplied), easily tightened with a star screw driver.

The flip lock has 2 legs that fold over the thin backing plate (supplied) to secure the base if the lock in place.

The Flip lock can flip either up or down and holds the position until lifted.
