for reinforcing shoe

This board is for soling handmade shoes and sandals
Texan Board, sometimes called Bontex or Excalibur Board,  and is used between the upper sole and the lower sole.

It is particularly ideal for sandals that have straps that are adjustable, 

Available in 2 thickenesses

• 1.75mm for lighter children and smaller female body weight.
• 3mm for heavier adult body weight.

It is usually stitched to the upper sole with a sewing machine
or it can be hand sewn using the 2 needle method – just takes a little longer.
After it is attached or fixed to the upper

• glued
  
• glued and stitched or
  
• glued and nailed
  

to the lower sole.

Description:
A4 sheet size
This is larger enough for one pair average shoes or sandals.
It can be used in making boots as well.
Note: Texan or Bontex or Excalibur Board has a grain
so use only in the direction of the arrows.
