Description
Brass Perma-lok lacing needle for kangaroo lace
A solid brass rod, flattened slightly on the tip with a hollow, internal thread
on the other end for screwing 2 or 3mm leather lace
used for lacing wallets, belts, hand bags and more.
The flat point makes easier work with chisel slits, when lacing wallets, book covers.
The internal sharp thread are super tight hold, lacing won’t pull out.
These needles almost never wear out.
Dimensions: 56mm long by 1.9mm
Material: Brass
Packet Quantity: 1 x Perma-Lok needle
Tips
Cut one corner off the end of the lace with scissors or knife
Wet the end and roll it between your fingers as if to compress it
Then insert the compressed sharpened end
into the threaded hole twisting the needle as you insert the leather
Stretch the lace before using
If the lace breaks off leaving as piece inside a Perma-lok needle,
hold the needle with a pair of pliers
And with a lighter heat the needle at the thread end to burn the leather out,
it should pop out, the heat expands the air in the cavity between the leather and the brass needle.
The needle will get very hot, hence the pliers but it doesn’t hurt anything,
and your needle can be used again.
When the project is multiple layers, and pushing through is tough
you can use pliers to pull the needle through.
